Herbert Lea Bauer, 66, of Redmond, Oregon, passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2015.
He was born on January 3, 1949, in Durango, Colorado. The son of Herbert F. Bauer and Edith J. Bauer.
He served in the Vietnam War, as a member of The Marine Corp from August 28, 1967 to June 1, 1969. He was a radio relay operator and officer.
He was decorated with: Vietnamese Service Medal, Vietnamese Campaign Medal, Navy Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, Navy Unit Citation and a Good Conduct Medal
He enjoyed living life, Hunting and Fishing
He is survived by his wife, Denice; his mother, Edith; and his father, Herbert; and two sisters, Jeanne and Darby; and one son, Lea; and respectively their children. Herb was preceded in death by his daughter, Tisha; his brother, Bill; and his sister, Jody.
The service to honor Herb will be Thursday, December 17, at 2:30 p.m., at the Redmond Memorial Chapel, 717 South Sixth St., Redmond, Oregon, 541-548-3219.
