Bend Police are investigating a robbery at Selco Community Credit Union off U.S. Highway 20 in Northeast Bend, according to Bend Police Lt. Clint Burleigh.

A suspect was located by undercover officers in the Barnes & Noble parking lot and taken into custody after an initial report at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Burleigh said. He said he could not immediately confirm the amount of money allegedly taken or further details about the incident.

Colleen Thompson, a marketing manager for Selco, wrote in an email Wednesday morning that she could not provide more information.

“At this point we will defer to law enforcement to disclose any details as they see fit, given that this is an active investigation,” Thompson wrote. “We are thankful that our staff and members are safe.”
