Deaths of note from around the world:

Angela McEwan, 81: A former criminal court Spanish interpreter who became a professional actress in her 70s and drew acclaim for her role in Alexander Payne’s “Nebraska” in 2013. Died Sunday from complications due to lung cancer.

Robert Kobayashi, 90: Artist who delighted and mystified passersby for decades with the whimsical displays of his art in the window of Moe’s Meat Market on Elizabeth Street in the NoLita neighborhood of New York. Died Dec. 14, at his home in Honolulu.

Jeremy Carter, 28: The grandson of former President Jimmy Carter and son of Annette and Jeff Carter, who is Jimmy Carter’s youngest son. Died Sunday in Peachtree City, Georgia, Jimmy Carter announced Sunday. The cause is unknown.
