Redmond rally falls short in tourney loss to Banks

BEAVERTON — Redmond High trailed by 12 points after three quarters, and a fourth-quarter rally came up short as the Panthers fell 60-56 to Banks at the Valliant Holiday Classic boys basketball tournament Wednesday.
Brandon Benson scored 12 points to pace Redmond (3-5), which outscored Banks 21-13 in the fourth quarter. Cody Moss had 11 points and seven steals, and Nick Aamodt had 11 points. Alani Troutman chipped in with eight points and eight rebounds for the Panthers.
Jake Evans poured in 17 points for the Braves, hitting all four of his 3-pointers in the third quarter.

Burns 67, Crook County 48: BURNS — Seth Kessi piled up 21 points, but the Cowboys fell to 4-3 with a nonconference road loss. Blake Bartels scored 13 points for Crook County, which was outscored 21-11 in the third quarter to fall behind by 19 points.
