The Bike the Bridges ride is set for 5 to 7 p.m. Aug. 13 in Bend.

The free event includes a tour of eight bridges that cross the Deschutes River. Most of the family-friendly, 8-mile route will be on paved trails, with an additional four miles for more advanced riders.

The ride will start and end at The Gear Fix on 550 S.W. Industrial Way in Bend. Complimentary beer and snacks will be provided after the ride.
