Odiorne third at stroke play event

GEARHART — Bend’s Madison Odiorne finished third at the Oregon Women’s Stroke Play championship, which concluded Wednesday at Gearhart Golf Links.
Odiorne shot back-to-back 75s for a two-day total of 150, six shots behind the winner, Forest Grove’s Hannah Swanson (even-par 144).
Bend’s Rosie Cook tied for 12th with rounds of 79-76—155, while Bend golfers Rachel Drgastin and Hailey Olstrom tied for 23rd at 165.
Bend’s Nettie Morrison tied for first in the Women’s Super Senior championship with a score of 83-83—166.
In the men’s Super Senior championship, Bend’s Don Orrell shot 75-74—149 to finish second, and Bend’s Stein Swenson (76-75—151) and Carey Watson (78-75—153) finished tied for fifth and ninth overall.
