Deaths of note from around the world:

Seena Hamilton, 92: A tennis mom who founded and directed the junior tennis tournament known as the Easter Bowl, a leading testing ground for young players on their way to college and pro careers. Died Aug. 6 in Kingston, New York, from a complication of Alzheimer’s disease.

Frank Palopoli, 94: A chemist whose team of researchers invented Clomid, the world’s most widely prescribed fertility drug for women. Died Aug. 6 in Montgomery, Ohio, from heart failure.

Hanif Mohammad, 81: A Pakistani cricketer who earned the nickname the Little Master for his batting prowess and his stamina, skills that produced a record-setting, 16-plus-hour turn at bat in 1958. Died Thursday at a hospital in his hometown, Karachi, from an illness linked to cancer.
