Warm Springs seeks golf operator

The Kah-Nee-Ta Golf Course, property of the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs, is looking for an outside operator to lease the course on the reservation, the resort general manager said Tuesday.

Jim Bankson said the course has operated in the red for the past four years and a new board of directors aims to correct that.

He said several parties are interested in leasing the course, but no decision has been made. He said the tribes would no longer operate the course on their own if no outside party leases it.
