REDMOND — Ridgeview raced out front early with the help of three 3-pointers in the first quarter, and the Ravens led host Redmond from start to finish en route to their first Intermountain Conference boys basketball win of the season.

Alex Nadermann scored 16 points to lead Ridgeview (1-7 IMC, 4-15 overall), which snapped a nine-game losing streak and won for the first time in four games since Jake Miller took over as the team’s head coach last month.

“They’re playing really well,” said Redmond coach Reagan Gilbertson, whose team won 69-59 at Ridgeview in mid-January. “They played with energy tonight, played with confidence.”

It showed, as the Ravens came out firing and led 11-5 after one period. The Panthers made a game of it in the fourth quarter but could not overcome their slow start.

“We came out a little overexcited, maybe,” said Gilbertson. “We were getting good shots, but we couldn’t get anything to fall.”

Josh Hair led Redmond (1-6, 7-12) with 16 points. Dylan Taylor scored 10 points, Dylan Moss had nine, and Hair and Moss grabbed five rebounds apiece for the Panthers.

Ridgeview got 10 points from Nick Nelson, nine from Payton Davis and eight from Kevin Edmondson.
