Rogerson

Louis and Janice “Jan” (Dumler) Rogerson are celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary in conjunction with Bend High School’s class of 1953 reunion to be held at their home in September.

The couple were married on Feb. 14, 1953, in Bend. They have two sons, Ricky (and Ella) of Terrebonne and Randy (and Michele) of Middleton, Idaho, and survive a son, Rodney. The couple have five grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Mr. Rogerson was on the first Bend High School wrestling team and in 1952 received the first state medal. He also played on the BHS football team. He later worked for the Lelco and Brooks-Scanlon mills. Mrs. Rogerson worked for the Sunriver Lodge when the first banquet was served and continued there for many years. Both were avid golfers and played in Redmond and Arizona in the winter.

Mr. and Mrs. Rogerson have lived in Bend most of their lives.
