‘Jesus Christ Superstar’ —Theater in the Park, formerly Shakespeare in the Park, is broadening its scope beyond The Bard with this year’s production, “Jesus Christ Superstar,” coming to the Drake Park stage in August. Michelle Mejaski of Mejaski Choreography will direct and choreograph the show, with musical direction from Gaylynne Norton Wright, vocal direction from Trish Sewell, live music from Company Grand and a set to be designed and built by Gary Loddo. Auditions will be from 4 to 8 p.m. May 6 and 19 at Academie de Ballet Classique, 162 NW Greenwood Ave., in Bend. Those planning to audition should prepare 24 to 32 bars of any song from a rock-style musical or opera, sheet music for the accompanist and comfortable shoes and clothes for the dance part of the audition.
