Friedman

Howard and Nancy Friedman, of Bend, celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary with a trip to Tanzania earlier this year.

The couple were married Oct. 2, 1977, in Timberline Lodge on Mount Hood.

They have three children, Cory, of Los Angeles, Dustin (Leah), of Tempe, Arizona, and Kelsey, of Seattle; and three grandchildren.

Mr. Friedman is a partner and principal broker at Compass Commercial Real Estate. He serves as vice president for both the Mt. Bachelor Sports Education Foundation and the board of directors of Bethlehem Inn.

Mrs. Friedman is a bookkeeper and also a Reiki master who volunteers at St. Charles. The couple volunteer one day each month to feed the homeless at Bethlehem Inn.

They have lived in Bend for 36 years.
