Competition for the big-money prize got riders and their horses hopping Saturday evening during the Oregon High Desert Classics Week 1 $25,000 Grand Prix. Staged at J Bar J Boys Ranch in Bend, the event was the highlight of the first week of the elite hunter/jumper horse show, which concluded Sunday.

Week 2 of the 29th annual High Desert Classics runs Wednesday through next Sunday. Spectators are welcome, and admission is free.
