Moscow Ballet to audition youth — As part of its “Dance-with-Us” community engagement program, the Moscow Ballet will be in Bend at 4 p.m. Sept. 4 to audition local dance students for roles in its “Great Russian Nutcracker,” in performance Nov. 4 at the Tower Theatre. Audition director Olena Pedan will audition kids ages 6 to 17 for such roles as mice, snowflakes, party children and more. Dancers should have at least one year of ballet training. Rehearsals will run through the fall and take place at Terpsichorean Dance Studio. Auditions are free, but a casting fee may apply. Sign up to audition at nutcracker.com/auditions.
