For fans of all things fermented, there’s no such thing as too many beer festivals. The Kiwanis Club of Redmond presents its 11th annual R’Oktoberfest, September 28–29, in the Wild Ride Brewing parking lot.

Festivities kick off Friday at 4 pm and continue Saturday from 1 to 9 pm. More than 30 beers and ciders from Central Oregon breweries will be on tap, along with brauts, sauerkraut, and schnitzel. On Saturday, there will be games, a kid’s zone, and competitions, including an archery contest and a home gardening throw-down.

Live music starts Friday at 4 pm with the Shaniko Band. Matt Borden & MFB will play Saturday at noon, and the Tangents will perform Saturday at 6 pm.

Proceeds go to the Redmond Kiwanis Club, with a large portion going to the Energy Hoop Club of Redmond. •
