Nashville guitarist William Tyler made a name for himself as a Music City session guy, contributing to alt-rock collectives Lambchop and Pavement sister band Silver Jews. By the 2000s, he was making his own haunting, instrumental guitar tracks under the name The Paper Hats, and released his first album under his own name, “Behold the Spirit,” in 2010. His most recent release, 2016’s “Modern Country,” featured musicians such as Wilco drummer Glenn Kotche and landed in Rolling Stone’s “40 Best Country Albums of 2016” list. Tyler will kick off the indoor fall lineup of shows at The Suttle Lodge & Boathouse on Tuesday. Also check out October and November’s shows:
Oct. 15 — Michael Nau & The Mighty Thread (roots rock)
Nov. 3 — Mission Spotlight (alt-country)
