Renk

Leo and Betty (Shiek) Renk, of Bend, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a trip to Grand Cayman Island. The couple were married Nov. 30, 1968, in Santa Ana, California. They have two children, Kevin (and Candice) Renk, of Bend, and Eric (and Melissa) Renk, of Chehalis, Washington; and four grandchildren.

Mr. Renk retired from the Bend Fire Department in 2001 and served with Deschutes County Fire and Rescue for 45 years. He enjoys scuba diving, camping and target shooting. Mrs. Renk retired from the Bend-La Pine school district in 2008 and enjoys camping, boating, wildlife watching and reading. She was also a Girl Scout leader for eight years and worked with the Boy Scouts for 30 years as a den leader, cub master and scoutmaster and as a district commissioners staff member. They have lived in Bend for over 70 years.
