Cold weather shelters will be open in Bend, Sisters, Redmond and La Pine as more snow is expected to hit Central Oregon this week.

Bend has three cold weather shelters operating this winter: Sagewood Sanctuary, Bethlehem Inn and Shepherd’s House Ministries. Sagewood Sanctuary, located inside Pfiefer and Associates at 23 NW Greenwood Ave., opens at 8 p.m.

Bethlehem Inn, at 3705 N. Highway 97, will begin letting people in at 7 p.m. Shepherd’s House is at 1854 NE Division St. and opens at 6 p.m.

Bethlehem Inn and Shepherd’s House require guests to be sober and do not allow pets. Sagewood Sanctuary allows pets and only requires that guests behave.

Redmond’s shelter will open at 6 p.m. at Redmond Christian Church. It provides space for men, women and families and has limited space for pets.

The Sisters shelter is located at the Episcopal Church of The Transfiguration at 68825 Brooks Camp Road through March 15. It opens at 6 p.m.

The La Pine Warming Center, inside the Cavalry Church at 16430 Third St., has been open during the day and will remain open.
