EUGENE — Oregon is losing one of its top bench players.
Forward Chandler Lawson has entered the transfer portal, according to a source with knowledge of the matter.
Lawson averaged 4.4 points and 3.0 rebounds in 18.1 minutes per game this season and started eight of 28 games, but ended with a season-low eight minutes in Sunday’s loss to USC in the Sweet 16. He shot 51% from the floor, including 36.4% from three-point range, and 50% from the foul line.
All those statistics were declines from his freshman season, when Lawson averaged 4.5 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 19.5 minutes per game.
A 6-foot-8, 205-pound sophomore, Lawson has three years of eligibility remaining.
His brother, four-star small forward Jonathan Lawson, is committed to the Ducks.
