Editorial: Pick the right wolves for the job at 15th and Knott

We love Bend’s roundabout art. Maybe more than some of you. Maybe less.

We love the splash the public art makes the most. A close second is the public doesn’t have to pay for it and still gets to help pick.

The latest potential selections are now on display at Larkspur Community Center and online at tinyurl.com/Roundaboutwolves.

It will be wolves for the roundabout at 15th Street and Knott Road. The images available won’t be exactly what will be put up at the roundabout. Art in Public Places would be contracting with the artist for something similar to the examples of their work in the images.

The public art of Art in Public Places is funded by the Bend Foundation and other private donors. They pay for it and you do get input into what they pick. So help them pick. And if you get a chance, send them your thanks for the art — or even get involved yourself.
