- Rubbah Tree will perform on Saturday at Domino Room in Bend.
It’s a busy, busy week at Silver
Moon Brewing (24 NW Greenwood Ave., Bend), where three different stages can host live music at any given time.
This week’s slate is particularly diverse, with reggae, blues, pop, indie rock and a Metallica tribute band!
You can learn more about all these shows or buy tickets at silvermoonbrewing.com. Here’s what’s happening:
• On Friday night, local fave Thunderstorm Artis will bring his feel-good folk-pop ‘n’ soul back to town. The Hawaiian singer-songwriter was a finalist on “The Voice” and has shared stages with Jack Johnson and John Legend, among others. 8 p.m. $15.
• Saturday brings two shows to the Moon: Jesse Roper is based in British Columbia, Canada, but he sounds like an old bluesman from the deep South. His brand of the blues is rooted in tradition but also spiked with modern rock swagger. 8 p.m. $20.
• The other Saturday show is for Bend’s sizable contingent of reggae-heads: Local faves Rubbah Tree will open for the popular California reggae band Fortunate Youth, who are touring through town on their way to Washington’s Reggae on the Way festival. Both of these crews throw big chunks of dub, soul, roots-reggae and rock into a pot and *Bob Marley voice* stir it up! 8 p.m. $25.
• Sunday brings to Silver Moon the Metallica tribute act Blistered Earth, four dudes from Spokane, Washington, who convincingly replicate James Hetfield and company’s world-class thrash metal. And get this: When all of Blistered Earth’s gear was stolen while on tour in 2016, the members of Metallica heard about it and sent the band their own gear from a previous tour. Incredible! 8 p.m. $20.
• On Monday night, stay home and drink some water. But on Tuesday, consider checking out rising Canadian artist Anna Katarina, who sprinkles a bit of rootsy Americana vibe into her reverberant indie-folk-pop. 7 p.m. $8.
• Finally, on Wednesday, Animals in the Attic come to town to help you get over the hump. Fronted by Spencer Rakela, this group has a mellow, poppy sound and a faded, beach-y aesthetic that’s quite popular these days — fans of Mac DeMarco, Peach Pit, Clairo or Real Estate, take note! 7 p.m. $12.
