Contact Industries, a Clackamas-based wood-products company with a plant in Prineville, has agreed to be acquired by Endura Products, a North Carolina firm, according to a news release.
Contact will maintain its Prineville operation unchanged, according to Frank Pearson, Contact CEO. Pearson was unavailable for comment Tuesday.

Endura, based in Colfax, North Carolina, operates plants in that state, Texas and Tennessee, according to the release Monday. Endura makes components for entry door systems, including door sills, exterior door frames, locking hardware and other products. Contact is a maker of wood veneers and other products for doors, cabinetry, furniture and architectural projects.
The deal is expected to close by the end of the month. Terms of the acquisition were not released.
In March, Contact listed its 555,000 square-foot manufacturing plant in Prineville for sale for $6.9 million. Pearson at the time said the company hoped the sale would generate cash for the business while it remained a tenant for a new property owner. The plant, on 82 acres, employs about 215 people.
