Many times I have resisted writing.

Finally, the Dec. 2 “A Portland Treasure Hunt” article by John Gottberg Anderson about shopping in Portland, prompted this note.

Though the article was well written, aren’t we all trying to support our local shops, businesses and artisan/crafters?

If I was an advertiser, I sure would think twice in spending my funds via this newspaper.

This may have been a sort of “kicked in the solar plexus moment,” for them, as it was for me.
