Walter Lee ‘Bud’ McCoy

Walter Lee ”Bud” McCoy of Prineville died Saturday. He was 45.
Viewing will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Prineville Funeral Home. A funeral will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Powell Butte Christian Church with the graveside following at Juniper Haven Cemetery.
Mr. McCoy was born Aug. 25, 1955, in Greenburg, Pa.
He moved to Powell Butte in 1984 and to Prineville in 1987.
Mr McCoy married Vallerie Vallance on Oct. 12, 1985.
He worked for ClearPine in Prineville, retiring in 1994.
Mr. McCoy was a member of the Prineville Golf and Century Club, Elks Lodge, and the U.S. Golf Association.
He loved sports and in 1973 he was drafted by the Kansas City Royals baseball team.
Survivors include his wife of Prineville; parents Walter and Mary McCoy; two sons, Shane Anderson of Prineville and Ryan Anderson of Corvallis; one daughter, Tiffany McCoy of Prineville; three brothers, Glenn Lamison of Egg Harbor Township, N.J., Ronald Lamison, Baxter, Iowa and James Heffron of Egg Harbor Township, N.J.; and seven grandchildren.

Stanley E. Stevenson

Stanley E. Stevenson of Redmond died Friday of natural causes in Bend. He was 70.
A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Redmond Community Church with graveside immediately following.
Mr. Stevenson was born on Nov. 23, 1930, in Mount Auburn, Ill.
He married Shirley Shanklin in June of 1964. They moved to Redmond in 1987.
Mr. Stevenson was the director of Public Works for the City of Redmond.
He was affiliated with the Boy Scout Committee, Elks, Kiwanis, Optomist, Redmond Community Church, COPRD board member and Illinois Volunteer Fire Department.
Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Kauai of Greenwood Ind.; five sons, Skip of Albany, Bud of Franklin, Ind., David of Indianapolis, Ind., Dale of Redmond and Daniel of Lebanon; one stepson, Jesse Shanklin of Lebanon; one sister, Ellen Muir, of Albany; two half-brothers, James Underwood of Peoria, Ill., and Walt Underwood of Albany; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by one half-brother and his parents.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Redmond Community Church Building Fund.
Redmond Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
George E. Fulton
George E. Fulton of Bend died Friday of natural causes. He was 88.
A memorial will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Niswonger, Reynolds and Tabor Funeral Home.
Mr. Fulton, a resident of Bend since 1917, served in the Merchant Marines attached to the Royal Air Force just prior to World War II.
He married Miriam Clark in 1947 in Powell, Wyo.
Mr. Fulton managed Healey’s Bend Furniture and worked there for 47 years.
He was chairman of Modoc area Boy Scouts, PTA, school board member for 11 years, Kiwanis, Elks Lodge, chairman of COCAAN, and Senior Citizen’s Organization for many years.
Mr. Fulton repaired radios soon after they were invented.
Survivors include his wife of Bend; two sons, Greg of Bend and Clark of Lawrence, Kan.; and three grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Central Oregon Humane Society and Hospice of Bend-La Pine.
