Mary Lucille ”Lucy” (Grignon) Roberts of Bend died Wednesday of natural causes. She was 77.
A viewing will be held between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Friday at Niswonger, Reynolds and Tabor Funeral Home. Burial will follow the viewing at Pilot Butte Cemetery.
Mrs. Roberts was born March 27, 1924, in Duluth, Minn. She married Royal Jackson ”Bob” Roberts in Honolulu in 1992.
She worked as a lab technician and retired in Bend in 1989.
Mrs. Roberts was a member of the Veteran’s of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Z, Deschutes County Victim’s Assistance, American Legion. She volunteered at Hospice of Bend and Saint Vincent de Paul Society. She enjoyed traveling, reading and visiting with family and friends.
Survivors include her three sons, Michael of Van Nuys, Calif., James of Spokane, Wash., and Thomas of Palmer, Alaska; three daughters, Patricia Dombrowski of Balikpapan, Indonesia, Deborah Westoby of Warrenton and Kathleen Willequer of Wasill, Alaska; one half brother, John Ganser of Stillwater, Minn.; four half sisters, Kate Anderson of Grantsburg, Wis., Rita Dunbar of Big Lake, Minn., Judy Lund of Stillwater, Minn., and Florence Ulrich of Glenwood, Wis.; 16 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband.

Dorothy ‘Dot’ Marguerite (Dakin) Tankersley of Bend died Thursday of a stroke. She was 86.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, July 27 at Aspen Ridge Care Home in Bend and 2 p.m. Friday, July 20 at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in McMinnville.
Mrs. Tankersley was born Nov. 12, 1914, in Ipswitch, England, to Thomas and Florence Dakin. They moved to the United States when she was an infant.
She graduated from Glendale College. She worked as a secretary for a patent firm.
She married Channing Tankersley on Nov. 17, 1946. They lived on Air Force bases in Denver, Virginia and South Carolina. After her husband’s death, she moved to McMinnville and then to Bend in 1998.
She was affiliated with the St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in McMinnville. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, reading, playing bingo, sewing, fishing, playing cards, bird watching , gardening, listening to Hawaiian music and Almond Roca.
Survivors include her son, Tom of McMinnville; one daughter, Nancy Fine of Bend; one brother, Arthur Dakin of Denver; and five grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
Memorial contributions may be made to Northwest Medical Teams or the St. Barnabas Soup Kitchen.
Gary Phillip Pulliam

Gary Phillip Pulliam of Prineville died Tuesday of complications from pneumonia. He was 40.
A celebration of life service will be held 2 p.m. Monday at the Springdale Community Bible Church.
Mr. Pulliam was born Nov. 24, 1960, in Portland, to John and Norma Pulliam.
He was a General Motors Certified Mechanic. He worked as an independent truck driver. He enjoyed mechanics.
Survivors include his parents of Corbett; two stepsons, Josh Irwin of Tualatin and Daren Irwin of Walport; two brothers, Steven of Corbett and Jeffrey of Gresham; and one stepgrandson.
Bateman Carroll Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
