Donald R. Rudeen

Donald R. Rudeen of Redmond died Saturday of heart problems. He was 87.
A visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Autumn Funerals in Redmond. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Dayspring Christian Center in Terrebonne. Burial will follow the service at Redmond Memorial Cemetery. Following burial a fellowship will be held at Jack and Jan Poffenbarger’s home, 5491 NW Maple, Redmond.
Mr. Rudeen was born Aug. 29, 1913, in Portland to Aaron and Hilda (Nelson) Rudeen. He graduated from Benson Tech in 1931. He married Genevieve Wanner in 1938.
He worked as a blueprint deliverer for Henry Tymer and Sons which later became Shannon and Company in Portland. He worked his way up in the Engineering and Art Supply firm until he became owner in 1965.
Mr. Rudeen married Juanita Prideaux in 1962. He moved to Redmond in 1987 and worked for Eagle Crest Resort as a marshal. He retired in 1993.
He was a member of the Alderwood Country Club and Columbia Edgewater. He was honored with many titles in the blueprinting industry.
Survivors include one daughter, Jan Poffenbarger of Redmond; two stepsons, Wick Prideaux of Portland and Jeff Prideaux of Arizona; two stepdaughters, Meridel Prideaux and Pam Prideaux, both of Portland; five grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first and second wife, a daughter and sister.

Dennis Calvin Urell

Dennis Calvin Urell of Redmond died Monday of natural causes. He was 57.
A viewing will be held from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Autumn Funerals in Redmond. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Redmond Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Urell was born July 5, 1944, in Redmond to Ed and Nona (Miller) Urell. He married Sharon on Aug. 1, 1981, in Powell Butte.
He was self-employed at Denny Urell Trucking and drove a purple truck nicknamed the ”Barney Mobile.”
Mr. Urell enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of Redmond; seven sons, Randy Nielsen, Troy Lindquist, Dennis Jr., and Glen Moulton Jr., all four of Redmond, Rick of Tumalo, Tony Ferrari of Germany and Mark of Portland; five daughters, Pam Gilbert and Molly Pickles, both of Redmond, Tina Horn of Vancouver, Wash., Danielle of Wisconsin and Katie Jones of Washington; one brother, Jim of Powell Butte; three sisters, Kay Buell of Alaska, Sue Githens of Marcolla and Starla Ambrose of Springfield; and numerous grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son.
Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the Dennis Urell Memorial Fund at any Columbia River Bank Branch.

James Thor Moi

James Thor Moi of Eugene died Saturday, July 29, of complications due to a motorcycle accident. He was 63.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at Mr. Moi’s home, for more information contact Connie Mitchell at 541-344-4576.
Mr. Moi was born Jan. 20, 1938, in Seattle.
He worked as an auto salesman for Jim Smolich Motors. He retired in 1999.
Mr. Moi enjoyed living in Bend, cutting wood and riding motorcycles.
Survivors include his special friend, Connie Mitchell of Bend; and two sons, Lief and Mike, both of Seattle.
He was preceded in death by his two brothers.
Sherman Francis Tannehill

Sherman Francis Tannehill of Prineville died Tuesday of vascular disease. He was 81.
A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday Aug. 19 at Mr. Tannehill’s home.
Mr. Tannehill was born Jan. 31, 1920, in Downs, Kan. He married Joyce D. Michel in 1952.
He served in the U.S. Army Air Corp as a flight engineer during World War II.
Mr. Tannehill moved to Prineville in 1958. He worked for Hudspeth Pine until his retirement in 1980.
Survivors include his wife; one son, Tommy; one sister, Shirley Robinson of Tigard; and two grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to Pioneer Memorial Hospital in Prineville or Life Flight Network in Portland.

Wayne Edward Britton

Wayne Edward Britton of Madras died Tuesday of natural causes. He was 61.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Mt. Jefferson Memorial Park.
Mr. Britton was born Aug. 13, 1939, in Barview to Les and Verna (Savage) Britton. He married Jaylynne on Aug. 13, 1998, in Madras.
He was the owner and operator of Wayne’s Tire and Auto Repair Shop in Metolius. He moved to Madras in 1989.
Mr. Britton enjoyed auto racing and anything to do with automobiles.
Survivors include his wife of Madras; three sons, Eddie of South Dakota and Jacob and Joshua Reece, both of Madras; three daughters, Kathy of Arkansas, Shelley Poindexter of Pasco, Wash., and Cheryl Bounds of Baker City; four brothers, Les of Cottage Grove, Jerry of Tacoma, Wash., Orie of Redding, Calif., and Willard of Lebonan; two sisters, Roberta Northey of Salem and Faye Hamilton of Springfield; numerous grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
