Harry Drew

Harry Drew of Bend died Monday of natural causes. He was 91.

No services will be held at his request.

Mr. Drew was born Aug. 26, 1909, in Manchester, Iowa. He married Iona Croonenberghs on Jan. 23, 1932, in Seattle, Wash.

He was a certified public accountant. He moved to Bend in 1946.

Mr. Drew was a member of the Bend Golf Club, Elks and Eagles Lodges. He enjoyed antiques, painting, fly fishing and studying the Civil War.

Survivors include his wife of Bend; two sons, John of Bellevue, Wash., and Dennis of Montgomery, Ala.; four grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

Wayne B. Stamper

Wayne B. Stamper of La Pine died Friday of a heart attack. He was 73.

A private memorial service will be held for him.

Mr. Stamper was born Dec. 27, 1927, in Newberry, Mich. He served in World War II and the Korean War.

He was a machinist and retired in 1989.

Mr. Stamper was a member of the American Legion, U.S. Constabulary and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Survivors include his two sons, Wayne of Corbett and Russell of Eagle Creek; one daughter, Theresa Clark of Eagle Creek; three brothers, Walter of Powell Butte, Amel of Portland and Robert of Gresham; two sisters, Geneva Johnson of Newberry, Mich., and Bonnie Hull of Scappoose.

Judith ‘Judy’ Lynn (Henley) Graham

Judith ”Judy” Lynn (Henley) Graham of La Pine died Sunday of cancer. She was 49.

No services will be held.

Miss Graham was born Oct. 8, 1951, in Los Angeles, Calif., to Acie Henley Sr. and Rosemary Steele.

She was a nursing assistant for various nursing homes and hospitals for 30 years.

Survivors include her daughter, April Bjornstad of Bakersfield, Calif.; stepfather, Joe Steele of Madras; mother of Madras; two brothers, Acie Henley Jr. of Madras and Edward Steele of Metelios; one sister, Mary Horsley of Salem; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Martha J.(Ernst) Werner

Martha J. (Ernst) Werner of La Pine died Tuesday of pulmonary hypertension. She was 69.

A viewing will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Central Pines Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at La Pine Community Cemetery.

Mrs. Werner was born May 27, 1932, in Duluth, Minn. She married Richard Werner on Dec. 19, 1950, in Cohasset, Minn.

She was a homemaker.

Mrs. Werner was a member of Take Off Pounds Sensibly.

Survivors include her husband of La Pine; four daughters, Judy Schmock of Woodland, Calif., Patty Johnston of Mt. Calm, Texas, Cheryl Regalado of Billings, Mont., and Sandra Avilla of Las Vegas, Nev.; one sister, Mary Scott of Winston; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Sally Chavira Gallardo

Sally Chavira Gallardo of Prineville died Sunday of natural causes. She was 59.

A private memorial service will be held.

Mrs. Gallardo was born Jan. 6, 1942, in Bakersfield, Calif., to Joe and Ramona (Diaz) Chavira. She married Joe Gallardo Sr. on June 15, 1959, in Texas.

She was a homemaker and then worked for Hewlett-Packard in Boise, Idaho from 1979-1988.

Mrs. Gallardo moved to Prineville in 1999.

She enjoyed sewing, cross stitching, making wedding gowns, arts and crafts, gardening, traveling to Reno, Nev., and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her three sons, Henry and Joe Jr., both of Portland and Adam of Milwaukie; two daughters, Victoria Fountain of Bakersfield, Calif., and Elizabeth Griep of Prineville; two brothers, Raymond Chavira and Robert Chavira, both of Wasco, Calif.; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and sister.

Norma June (Ridgeway) McCoin Rodakowski

Norma June (Ridgeway) McCoin Rodakowski of Burns died Tuesday of complications due to cancer. She was 72.

A graveside service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at Terrebonne Cemetery.

Mrs. Rodakowski was born March 1, 1929, in Prairie City.

Survivors include her three sons, Billy McCoin of Pendleton, Jim McCoin of Burns and Tommy McCoin of Vale; one daughter, Leslie McCoin-Welker of Glenns Ferry, Idaho; two brothers, Eldon Ridgeway of Prineville and Kenneth Ridgeway of Petaluma, Calif.; one sister, Jean Lodel of Vacaville, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Myrtle May (Hughes) Williams

Myrtle May (Hughes) Williams of Prineville died Friday after a lengthy illness. She was 88.

No services will be held at her request.

Mrs. Williams was born July 6, 1913, in Prineville to Frank and Mae (Pickett) Hughes. She graduated from Crook Country High School in 1933.

She married Claude Williams on Jan. 1, 1934, in Prineville.

Mrs. Williams and her husband homesteaded on a ranch north of Prineville.

She was a member of the Carnation Chapter of Eastern Star, Prineville Golf and Country Club and Etuidet Club. She was affiliated with the Oregon Farm Bureau and St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, where she played the organ and sang in the choir. She was a 4-H leader.

Mrs. Williams enjoyed golfing, playing the piano, composing music, singing in the community choir, painting and tailoring.

Survivors include her son, Walt of Bend; two daughters, Joan Morrison of Redmond and Esther Phillips of Normandy Park, Wash.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband.

Octavian Wassau-Tobogian Smith

Octavian Wassau-Tobogian Smith of Bend died Monday of complications due to spinal muscular atrophy. He was 10 months and five days.

A viewing will be held from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday at Niswonger-Reynolds and Tabor Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Niswonger-Reynolds and Tabor Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at approximately 3 p.m. at Greenwood Memorial Cemetery.

The Smith child was born Oct. 10, 2000, in Bend to Lonny Smith and Shaneka Helms.

Survivors include his parents; two brothers, Olijawan Helms of Bend and Tyler Smith of Portland; two sisters, Obsidian Helms and Oceania Smith, both of Bend; and grandparents, Lee and Donna Helms of Bend, Jennifer and Glen Martin of Bend and Steve and Jolene Smith of Oahu, Hawaii.

William M. Crumrine

William M. Crumrine of Redmond died Tuesday of natural causes. He was 72.

A private service will be held for him.

Mr. Crumrine was born Jan. 6, 1929, in Newberg to Clifford and Nellie (Kinney) Crumrine. He married Lou Ellen Flake on Aug. 5, 1950, in Port Orford.

He served two tours of duty of Vietnam.

Mr. Crumrine was in the US Coast Guard for 32 years. He retired on May 31, 1978, as a CW04 Warrant Officer. He lived in Redmond for over seven years.

Survivors include his wife of Redmond; one daughter, Kathleen Underberg of Redmond; one brother, Jack of Sisters; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son and parents.
