Frances ‘Fran’ Lee (Sherrell) Padget

Frances ”Fran” Lee (Sherrell) Padget of Prineville died Sunday of natural causes. She was 82.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Juniper Haven Cemetery.
Mrs. Padget was born Dec. 11, 1918, in Hood River. She attended schools in both Hood River and Central Oregon. She married Clifford Laursen.
She married Raymond Padget in 1974, in Reno, Nev.
Mrs. Padget was a member of the Eagles Lodge in Prineville. She enjoyed painting, gardening and making personalized cards.
Survivors include her husband of Prineville; one son, Gary Laursen of Bend; two daughters, Roberta Laursen of Medford and Linda Mason; one stepson; two stepdaughters; one brother, Robert Sherrell; three sisters, Evelyn Bishop, Velma Thomlinson and Leola Rhodes; numerous grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, parents and a brother.

Clifford D. Escover

Clifford D. Escover of Prineville died Sunday. He was 88.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Heritage Chapel at Prineville Funeral Home.
Mr. Escover was born Nov. 29, 1912, in Sunol, Calif., to Frank and Angelina (Ramos) Escover.
He was a truck driver for Camall Trucking.
Mr. Escover was a member of the Prineville Eagles and Elks Lodge and Veterans Club. He enjoyed reading and spending time with friends and family.
Survivors include his son, Clifford of California; 10 stepchildren; ex-wife, Marjorie; four brothers, Frank, Jack, Joe and Billy, all of California; three sisters, Emma Souza, Agusta Semas and Wanda Dahl, all of California; three grandchildren; numerous stepgrandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and two sisters.

Margaret Graham

Margaret Graham of Fresno, Calif., died Sunday of an extended illness. She was 79.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Deschutes Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Graham was born May 5, 1922, in Whitehall, Mont. She married Thomas Graham.
She was a school bus driver and a long time resident of Redmond.
Mrs. Graham was a representative for Redmond School District to the Oregon School Employees Association. She was also a member of the Eastern Star, Jobs Daughters and American Legion.
Survivors include her son, David of Arizona; two daughters, Sharon Best of Yuma, Ariz., and Marilyn Lindsey of Clovis, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter and brother.

E. Annette Minix

E. Annette Minix of La Pine died Monday of complications related to breast cancer. She was 70.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church in La Pine. A burial will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Pilot Butte Cemetery.
Mrs. Minix was born March 18, 1931, in Bristow, Okla., to Bentley and Dallah (Montgomery) Sears. She married J.R. Minix in September 1977.
She worked for the City of Los Angeles before moving to Springfield. There, she worked for the Springfield City Prosecutor. After her retirement in 1986, she moved to La Pine.
Mrs. Minix enjoyed square dancing, fishing and traveling in her motorhome with the square dance club.
Survivors include her two stepsons, Gary of Sacramento, Calif., and Michael of Greenville, S.C.; one brother, Carlos Sears of Enterprise, Ala.; and one sister, Betty Woodrell of Bend.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a brother.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Central Oregon Hospice.

Myrtle May Miller

Myrtle May Miller of Madras died Tuesday of complications due to a stroke. She was 86.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Mt. Jefferson Memorial Park.
Mrs. Miller was born Feb. 15, 1915, in Stavly, Alberta Canada to Robert and Elizabeth (Taylor) Meneice. She married Elmer Miller.
She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Miller enjoyed painting and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her son, Robert of Madras; one daughter Marcia Tonkin of Portland; two sisters, Lois Wilson of Corral, Idaho and Eileen Mitchell of Crescent City, Calif.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

Ellwyn (Oz) B. Stumbaugh

Ellwyn (Oz) B. Stumbaugh of Eugene died Wednesday of natural causes. He was 88.
A private memorial service will be held.
Mr. Stumbaugh was born Sept. 14, 1912, in Clinton, Iowa. He married Marjorie in 1939, in Clinton, Iowa. He served in the Navy during World War II.
Mr. Stumbaugh was a professional big band and jazz musician with the Red Nichols and 5 Pennies.
He was an electrical contractor and retired in 1980.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars’ Community Club.
Survivors include his wife of Eugene; three sons, Douglas of Crescent, Brent of Bend and Miles of Oakridge; one daughter, Linda of Eugene; and two brothers, Ray of Eugene and Lyle of Squim, Wash.
