(Patrick) Wilson

Anita Joy (Patrick) Wilson of Madras died Wednesday of natural causes at Mt. View Hospital. She was 63.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Madras Conservative Baptist Church.

Mrs. Wilson was born Sept. 27, 1938, in Yakima, Wash., to Sylvester and Gladys (Van Waganner) Patrick. She married Neil Wilson on Aug. 25, 1989.

She worked for the Jefferson County Tax Department for 23 years.

Mrs. Wilson enjoyed the outdoors, photography, painting and handcrafts.

Survivors include her husband of Madras; four sons, Doug Jorgensen of Bend, Brad Jorgensen of Madras, Brian Jorgensen of Metolius and Ray Jorgensen of Redland; two daughters, Julie Fletcher of Republic, Wash., and Dawn Martin of Madras; 21 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Bel-Air Colonial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

‘Jim’ Wilson

Louis James ”Jim” Wilson of Bend died Wednesday of natural causes. He was 63.

A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Autumn Funerals in Bend. A memorial service will be held at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at the Church of Christ in Bend.

Mr. Wilson was born Dec. 4, 1937, in Sheridan, Ark., to Walter Wilson and Elby Minor. He married Gail Briggs on Aug. 3, 1957.

He worked as an operations officer at the Bank of Central Oregon and Western Bank. He also worked at Coast Community Bank in Brookings and Western Bank of Harbor, North Bend and Portland. He then worked as a New York Life insurance agent in Brookings and North Bend. He worked as an independent insurance agent and worked part-time at Safeway in Bend.

He was affiliated with the Church of Christ in Bend. He was a member of the Eastern Star, Shriners, Amaranth, Rotary Club, Elks Lodge, Odds Fellows, Lions, Toastmasters, JC’s and Associate Guardian of the Jobs Daughters. He served as treasurer of the East-West Shriners All-star Football Games in Baker. He also was a member and past commander of the Knight Templar. He was a volunteer firefighter, emergency medical technician and ambulance driver in Harbor.

Survivors include his wife of Bend, two sons, Steven of Bend and Jeffery of Bonney Lake, Wash.; one daughter, Joy Reeves of Bend; one foster son, Larry Reeves; two foster daughters, Anna Billings of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Sharlett Pittman of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; one brother, Bud of Madera, Calif.; three sisters, Edith May and Floy, both of Madera, Calif., and Jewell Coursey of Benton, Ark.; 15 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Memorial contribution may be made in lieu of flowers to the Shriners Children’s Hospital, Church of Christ of Bend Youth Camp or Amaranth Lodge diabetes fund.

Lorraine Lucille (Harrison) Bear

Lorraine Lucille (Harrison) Bear of Bend died Thursday of natural causes. She was 83.

No service will be held.

Mrs. Bear was born Nov. 12, 1918, in Wilmington, Calif. She married John Bear on May 18, 1938, in San Diego, Calif.

She was a homemaker. She and her family moved to Bend in the early 1980s.

Mrs. Bear enjoyed bingo and crafts.

Survivors include her husband of Bend; one daughter, Judy Clark of Everett, Wash.; two sisters, Nanette Newman of Bend and Bette Tatera of San Diego, Calif.; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to a charity of one’s choice.
