Mary Ann (Pankey) Gebo

Mary Ann (Pankey) Gebo of Cottage Grove died Sunday in Blue River. She was 30.
A funeral was held.
Mrs. Gebo was born Oct. 10, 1971, in Santa Rosa, Calif., to Charles and Pamela (Mittelstadt) Pankey. She attended school in Gilchrist, where she participated in cheerleading, volleyball, track and dance team. She moved to Bend and graduated from Bend Senior High School in 1987.
She attended Central Oregon Community College. She worked as a manager for Sprouse-Reitz and then as an assistant manager at Deb’s. She was also a homemaker.
Mrs. Gebo married Aaron Gebo on Sept. 24, 2000, in Swayer Park in Bend. They moved to Cottage Grove in April 2001.
She enjoyed crafts, romance novels, movies, the outdoors, shopping and her cats.
Survivors include her husband of Cottage Grove; one daughter, Sabrina Gebo of Cottage Grove; parents of La Pine; one brother, Charlie Pankey of Meridian, Idaho; and one sister, Nancy LaBauve of Cottage Grove.

Geraldine ‘Gerry’ (Burgess) Hunter

Geraldine ”Gerry” (Burgess) Hunter of Springfield died Nov. 23 at her home. She was 78.
A private service will be held.
Ms. Hunter was born Oct. 4, 1923, to Lawrence and Pearl Burgess.
She worked as a waitress at the Pine Tavern Restaurant. She lived in Bend in the 1940s and ’50s.
Ms. Hunter was affiliated with the Community of Christ Church. She enjoyed the high desert, outdoors, hunting, fishing and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her son, Eldon of Springfield; one brother, Von Burgess of Bend; one sister, Shelby Lettenmaier of Bend; one grandson; and one great-grandson.
Douglas Sevin Christiansen

Douglas Sevin Christiansen of Bend died Friday at St. Charles Medical Center. He was 42.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Niswonger-Reynolds and Tabor Funeral Chapel in Bend.
Mr. Christiansen was born May 31, 1959, in Seattle to Thor Christiansen and Betty Briggs.
He worked as a mechanic for Kmart. He moved to Bend in 1989 and worked as a contract painter.
Mr. Christiansen was affiliated with Trinity Lutheran Church in Bend. He enjoyed skiing, motorcross, golfing, camping and the outdoors.
Survivors include his father of Seattle; mother of Bend; one brother, Dean of Marysville, Wash.; and two sisters, Lisa Chavez of Tacoma, Wash., and Heidi Calderon of Poulsbo, Wash.
He was preceded in death by his brother.

Richard L. Hansen

Richard L. Hansen of La Pine died Friday of heart failure. He was 68.
A private service will be held.
Mr. Hansen was born March 20, 1933, in Pleasant Home. He married Frances Mills on Nov. 7, 1964, in Reno, Nev.
He served in the Air Force.
Mr. Hansen worked on assembly at Aerospace Industry from 1956-1983. He retired in 1995.
Survivors include his wife of La Pine; four sons, Richard of Citrus Heights, Calif., Robert of Haden Lake, Idaho, Anthony Minutoli and Kenneth, both of La Pine; three daughters, Lucy Dornan of Prunedale, Calif., Sharon Ferrara of Carmichael, Calif., and Linda Ramey of Redding, Calif.; three brothers, Donald of Roseville, Calif., Norman of Vancouver, Wash., and Steve of Sacramento, Calif.; two sisters, Judie Webber of Keizer and Donna Almanza of Vancouver, Wash.; and 15 grandchildren.

Dorothy Maxine (Kennedy) Clippinger

Dorothy Maxine (Kennedy) Clippinger of Bend died Monday of natural causes. She was 76.
A private service will be held.
Ms. Clippinger was born April 28, 1925, in Denver.
She worked as a waitress. She retired in 1975.
Ms. Clippinger enjoyed crocheting, word search puzzles and eating at Jake’s.
Survivors include her son, Charles ”Bo” of Loveland, Colo.; one daughter, Dorothy Buck of Bend; three brothers, Earl Martin Kennedy Jr. of Denver, Gary Kennedy and Earl Lewis Kennedy, both of Needles, Calif.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, mother, stepfather, three sons, a daughter and brother.

Clive Brandon Deel of Ontario died Sunday at the VA Medical Center in Boise, Idaho. He was 69.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Ontario.

Dorothy Virginia Pollock

Dorothy Virginia Pollock of Hermiston died Saturday at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Hermiston. She was 80.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Bel-Air Colonial Chapel in Madras. Burial will follow the service at Mt. Jefferson Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Pollock was born Dec. 31, 1920, in Aurora, Neb., to Thomas Sumner and Fern (DeWitt) Miller. She married LeRue Pollock on Jan. 10, 1940, in Caldwell.
She worked on the farm. She also worked at Burnham’s Department Store in Hermiston and Margaret Hannon’s dress shop in Madras.
Mrs. Pollock was a member of the Rebekah’s, Ladies of the Elks in Madras, Friendly Neighbor Club in Madras, Desert Arts Council in Hermiston and Pendleton Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She enjoyed music, crocheting, gardening, flowers and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of Hermiston; one son, Lane of Hermiston; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son and two brothers.

Sandra A. (Bartoy) Klishak

Sandra A. (Bartoy) Klishak of Crescent and Bend died Saturday of natural causes. She was 55.
A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Christian Life Center. Burial will be held at 2:20 p.m. Thursday at Pilot Butte Cemetery.
Mrs. Klishak was born Nov. 7, 1946, in Bend to Dan and Janice (Bishop) Bartoy. She attended school at Gilchrist Elementary and Kenwood School. She graduated from Mount Hood Community College with an Associate’s Degree in occupational therapy.
She served in the Navy during the Vietnam War.
Mrs. Klishak worked at Maricopa Medical Center in Scottsdale, Ariz. She also worked as an occupational therapist at Our Lady of Our Lourds Hospital in Pasco, Wash. She returned to Bend in 1996.
She was affiliated with the Christian Life Center. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and jazzercise.
Survivors include her brother, Gary Pitts of Painesville, Ohio; and stepfather, Conway ”Sarge” Lamb of Eastlake, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather and a brother.
