Jacob Merle Wolfe

Jacob Merle Wolfe of Bend died Wednesday at his home. He was 77.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Niswonger-Reynolds and Tabor Funeral Chapel in Bend with Kenneth Mullenex officiating.
Mr. Wolfe was born March 12, 1924, in Farmington, Iowa to Darrel and Dorothy (Folker) Wolfe. He married Virginia Beaston on March 3, 1949, in Coeur D’Alene, Idaho.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corp during World War II in the South Pacific Theater.
Mr. Wolfe worked as sales manager for Community Chevrolet in Las Vegas for 18 years. He moved to Bend in 1971 and owned and operated Jake Wolfe’s WB Anderson Mobile Home Sales, Jake’s Downtown Copper Room, Jake Wolfe’s Ginger City and Jake’s Truck Stop. He also was one of the founders of the Bank of the Cascades and founded the Oregon Mobile Home Dealers Association.
He was a 32nd Mason. He was a member of the Shriner’s Organization, Elk’s Club, Jester’s Organization and Second Marine Corp. He volunteered as a Shriner’s roller skating clown. He established the Martini Golf Tournament. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, bird hunting and swimming.
Survivors include his wife of Bend; two sons, Kim of Bend and Scott of Kirkland, Wash.; one daughter, Marcia of Las Vegas; four brothers, Mickey of Vancouver, Wash., Gary of Florida, Allen and Darrell Jr., both of Ft. Madison, Iowa; one sister, Patricia Pickard of Ft. Madison, Iowa; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and sister.

(Keller) Bach

Emerald (Keller) Bach of Redmond died Wednesday. She was 82.
A private service will be held.
Ms. Bach was born Sept. 22, 1919, in Detroit.
She worked as a switchboard operator for an auto dealership in Detroit for 25 years.
She moved to Redmond in 1982.
Ms. Bach enjoyed traveling, reading, gardening, roses and music.
Survivors include her daughter, Sharron Troutman of Redmond; friend, Lillian Tomes of Redmond; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.

Maurice Earl
DeBoer
April 6, 1935 Dec. 6, 2001
Maurice Earl DeBoer of Prineville died Thursday. He was 66.
A private service will be held.
Mr. DeBoer was born April 6, 1935, in Elwood, Neb.
He worked as a self-employed contractor. He moved to Prineville in 1997.
Mr. DeBoer was a member of the Prineville Eagles Lodge. He enjoyed fix things for others, playing the harmonica and country music.
Survivors include his three sons, David of Tillamook, Gregory of Arizona and Steven of Pendleton; three daughters, Cynthia of Elgin, Pamela McKenzie of Ukiah and Alexandra of Edmonds, Wash.; mother, Cleda of Federal Way, Wash.; one brother, Roland of Anchorage, Alaska; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, a brother and two sisters.
