Highland Community Federal Credit Union this morning moved to a new location at 2675 NE Highway 20 in Bend in the former Bob’s burger location.

The credit union for 17 years had been located at 375 NE Emerson Ave.

A year ago, Highland Community was awarded a community charter, which allows it to offer membership to anyone who lives, works, attends church services or attends school in Deschutes County.

The credit union previously had concentrated its business on the medical community in Bend, with a handful of other employers.

Linda Thomassen is the manager of the branch.

”We’re thrilled with our new location.

”This building is wonderful,” Thomassen said.
