Clara Marie (Zubar) Warren

Clara Marie (Zubar) Warren of Bend died Sunday of natural causes. She was 87.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Deschutes Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Warren was born June 26, 1914, in Eureka, Mont. She married Roy Warren Sr. on Sept. 17, 1938, in Goldendale, Wash.
She worked as a banquet service person. She lived in Gilchrist for 29 years and Bend for more than 45 years.
Mrs. Warren enjoyed reading, camping, bowling, spending time with her family and watching the Atlanta Braves play baseball on television.
Survivors include her two sons, James of Portland and Roy Jr. of Bend; 12 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Donald K. Macbeth

Donald K. Macbeth of Bend died Friday of natural causes. He was 74.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Trinity Episcopal Church.
Mr. Macbeth was born Jan. 12, 1928, in San Diego. He graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1949 where he participated in rugby and was editor of a humor magazine. He married Eileen McMurchie in 1954, in Olympia, Wash.
He served in the U.S. Navy after high school. He served in the Korean War as a lieutenant on the U.S.S. Floyd B. Parks.
Mr. Macbeth worked as an insurance risk manager. He retired and moved to Bend in 1995.
He was affiliated with St. Luke Lutheran Church and Trinity Episcopal Church. He was a member of the Society of Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters. He volunteered with the SMART reading program. He sang with the Oratorio Society of Wayne Presbyterian Church and Cascade Chorale. He also played trombone with the Chester County Concert Band and Central Oregon Concert Band. He enjoyed tennis and photography.
Survivors include his wife of Bend; a son, Douglas of Virginia City, Mont.; a daughter, Carol of Haverford, Pa.; and a grandson.
He was preceded in death by a daughter.

Evelyn Gertrude (Haight) Lewis

Evelyn Gertrude (Haight) Lewis of La Pine died Sunday of a heart attack. She was 75.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Central Pines Funeral Home.
Mrs. Lewis was born April 17, 1926, in Tacoma, Wash. She married Archie Lewis on March 11, 1962, in Stevenson, Wash.
She worked as a checker for Safeway in North Bend. She retired and moved to La Pine in 1988.
Survivors include her husband of La Pine; two sons, Terry Metz of Tigard and Mark of Rustin, La.; three brothers, Ira Haight of Drayton Valley, Alberta, Canada, Ralph Haight of Pacific Palacades, Calif., and Les Haight of Newberg.; three sisters, Joyce Neil and Gloria Storment, both of Newberg and Francie Peterson of La Pine; and seven grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

Jamie Lynne Haldorson

Jamie Lynne Haldorson of Bend died Friday. She was 39.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. today at Deschutes Memorial Gardens. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the United Church of Christ in Condon.
Ms. Haldorson was born Jan. 3, 1963 to Len and Loris Haldorson. She attended beauty school in Bend.
She worked as a beauty operator. She also managed a restaurant.
Ms. Haldorson enjoyed dancing and animals. She volunteered with the Special Olympics in coaching and office work.
Survivors include her two sons, Scott and Daniel, both of Bend; parents of Condon; a brother, Lane of Condon; and a sister, Kyra Rogerson of Enumclaw, Wash.

Raymond Roger Harris

Raymond Roger Harris of Prineville died Sunday. He was 63.
A memorial service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Friday at Young’s Funeral Home in Tigard.
Mr. Harris was born July 12, 1938, in Waldport to Zebby and Mona (Hays) Harris. He married Glenda Clarke in January 1958.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1960 to 1962.
Mr. Harris worked as a maintenance engineer at Portland Community College for 28 years. He married Mary Ann Moore on July 5, 1972, in Portland. He retired in 1995. He moved to Prineville in April 2000.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on cars and spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife of Prineville; two sons, Timothy of Kingston, Wash., and Brian of Prineville; five daughters, Frankie Graham of Whittier, Alaska, Diana Holmberg of Sand Point, Alaska, Christine of Prineville, Amy of Portland and Brigitte Davis of Redmond; two brothers, Delbert of Tokyo, Japan and James of Portland; a sister, Mona Gianopoulos of Oregon City; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Beulah (Moore) Murray

Beulah (Moore) Murray of Prineville died Sunday of natural causes. She was 87.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. today at Prineville Funeral Home. A burial will follow at Juniper Haven Cemetery.
Mrs. Murray was born April 26, 1914, in Prineville to Clyde and Edith (Hamilton) Moore. She attended school in Prineville and graduated from Crook County High School on May 19, 1933. She married C.W. Peters on May 20, 1933.
She married John Murray in 1946. She attended Central Oregon Community College and received her training as a licensed practical nurse. She then worked for Pioneer Memorial Hospital.
She was affiliated with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary and Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary. She enjoyed dancing, traveling and collecting recipes.
Survivors include her two sons, Greg of Portland and Jack of San Francisco; a daughter, Charlene White of Prineville; two sisters, Blanche Cannon and Velda Krog, both of Salem; three grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Milton Clare Lockner

Milton Clare Lockner of Bend died Monday of natural causes at a local care facility. He was 71.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Romaine Village Recreation Hall with Jerry Crowley officiating and the U.S. Marine Corp Honor Guard participating.
Mr. Lockner was born Jan. 19, 1931, in Lakeview to Howard and Evelyn (Fetsch) Lockner. He married Colleen Slyter on Oct. 18, 1951.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps Honor Guard during the Korean War. He fought at the Battle of Chosin.
Mr. Lockner worked as a manufacturing engineer for Boeing. He worked on the Saturn Project with NASA. He married Jeannie Nelson on Dec. 28, 1991, in Gresham. He moved to Bend in 1994. He and his wife managed Romaine Village.
He was a member of the National Chosin Few Association, Oregon Chapter of the Chosin Few, Bend Veterans of Foreign Wars and Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, reading and wood working.
Survivors include his wife of Bend; four sons, Mick of Dallas, Chuck of Sterling, Alaska and Mitchell and Chris, both of Wasilla, Alaska; two stepsons, Randy Ellsworth of Troutdale and Greg Ellsworth of Beaverton; a stepdaughter, Tamara Randall of Springfield; 14 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife.

Jacob Hirsch

Jacob Hirsch of La Pine died Tuesday of Alzheimer’s related causes. He was 80.
No service will be held.
Mr. Hirsch was born Oct. 5, 1921, in Dickinson, N.D. He married Eva Weiler on Sept. 13, 1949, in Schefield, N.D.
He worked as a school bus driver for the Silverton School District. He moved to La Pine in the early 1960’s. He retired in 1969.
Survivors include his wife of La Pine; and a daughter, Kathleen Beres of La Pine.
