Betty (Baillio) Stanard
March 2, 1909 – June 12, 2002
Betty (Baillio) Stanard of Redmond died Wednesday of natural causes. She was 93.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Redmond Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Stanard was born March 2, 1909, in Niagra Falls, N.Y. She married William Russ’ Stanard in February 1933 in Woodburn. They moved to Redmond in 1947.
She worked as a secretary for the Central Oregon Irrigation District for 21 years.
Mrs. Stanard served on the library board and the Central Oregon Community College board. She was also a member of the Redmond Soroptimist Club and a member of the Daughters of the Revolution.
She enjoyed gardening and reading library books.
Survivors include her two sons, James of Springfield and William Jr. of Bend; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
Redmond Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Dorothy
Lucille (Boerger) Reynolds
Jan. 14, 1941 – June 12, 2002
Dorothy Lucille (Boerger) Reynolds of La Pine died Wednesday.
No service will be held.
Mrs. Reynolds was born Jan. 14, 1941, in Twin Valley, Minn. She married Wayne Reynolds in 1959.
She worked as an administrative assistant for Mervyn’s Department Store in Portland. She was retired.
Survivors include her husband of La Pine; a son, Richard; a daughter, Robin Wolf; mother, Ruth Boerger; a sister, Esther Tucker; and two grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Sunnyside Little Chapel of the Chimes in Portland is in charge of arrangements.
William DeVine
March 29, 1930 – June 8, 2002
Donald William DeVine of Bend died June 8 of cancer. He was 72.
A memorial service was held.
Mr. DeVine was born March 29, 1930, in Jersey Shore, Pa. He married M. Beverly Chambers on June 11, 1949, in Winchester, Va.
He served in the Army during World War II.
Mr. DeVine was the owner of a Polaris Engineering firm in Fairbanks, Alaska, from 1955 to 1963. He was a Civil Engineer with the U.S. Forest Service for 20 years. He retired in October 1985.
He was affiliated with High Lakes Christian Church. He was an officer on the sanitary sewer board at Oregon Water Wonderland in Bend.
Survivors include his wife of Bend; a son, Jeffrey of Portland; two daughters, Christie Suss of Beaverton and Sheri of San Diego, Calif.; two brothers, Kenneth of Jersey Shore, Pa., and Doug of Boerne, Texas; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
