About Bridge Creek:
Bridge Creek Elementary is a new independent, not-for-profit private school, where families and teachers build a solid bridge for each child’s journey to excellence. Bridge Creek is dedicated to high standards of academic and personal achievement within a safe and nurturing environment. Our small classes provide for a structured curriculum that incorporates innovative teaching, hands on experience and personalized instruction.
Philosophies:
High Academic and personal standards provide a strong foundation for your child’s future.
Small class size assures individual attention.
Individual assessments encompass not only academic achievement, but also social, physical, and emotional growth.
Classrooms are designed to be safe places for risk-taking, discovery and exploration of academic pursuits as well as personal development.
Our teachers foster self-reliance, personal responsibility, and a positive self-concept in all students.
Curriculums are built around planned progression of knowledge that provides a solid foundation in which to ground future education.
Family involvement is a key part of the Bridge Creek community.
Core Knowledge:
The Core Knowledge Sequence is a rigorous, sequential, structured and proven model designed to give all children the advantage of a solid foundation in language arts, math, science, technology, history, geography, health, music, and visual arts. Instructional strategies, techniques and assessments are chosen based on effectiveness and impact on student learning while meeting or exceeding district and state goals.
Involved Parents:
Bridge Creek is teacher directed and recognizes the importance of an involved family in each child’s education. The school requires parents to volunteer hours in a number of ways and encourages a high level of parent participation.
Personal Responsibility: Demonstrating respect for others, a sense of personal responsibility, integrity and other basic character traits are important for each child’s safety and productivity in school and for their future.
