Marcus R. Foster

July 5, 1958 – March 29, 2003

Marcus R. Foster of Bend died Saturday in an automobile accident. He was 44.

No service will be held.

Mr. Foster was born July 5, 1958, in Columbus, Ind., to Kenneth and Nancy Foster.

He was a transportation broker in the trucking industry.

Mr. Foster enjoyed his friends at Transportation Unlimited and his dog.

Survivors include his mother of La Feria, Texas; his father and stepmother, Christine of Harlingen, Texas; and two sisters, Gretchen and Jenny.

Deschutes Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Norman Michael Peccia

Aug. 6, 1919 – April 2, 2003

Norman Michael Peccia of Redmond died Wednesday of natural causes. He was 83.

A private burial will be held.

Mr. Peccia was born Aug. 6, 1919, in Portland to Michael and Carmella (Moccia) Peccia. He married Yvonne Lindstrom in 1946.

He served in the Army Air Corps as a staff sergeant during World War II.

Mr. Peccia was a superintendent for Western Wire Works in the Portland area for 30 years.

He enjoyed golf, dancing and traveling. He moved to Redmond two years ago.

Survivors include his son, Stephen of Redmond; a daughter, Carole Messuri of Canby; a brother, James of Seaside; a sister, Millie Dinnocenzo of Portland; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife.

Dorothy L. Barclay

July 26, 1910 – April 2, 2003

Dorothy L. Barclay of Sisters died Wednesday of natural causes. She was 92.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Niswonger, Reynolds Funeral Chapel.

Mrs. Barclay was born July 26, 1910, in Puyallup, Wash., to Deitreich and Ida (Williams) Strankman. She married Harold Barclay on July 3, 1934, in Tenino, Wash.

She and her husband moved to Central Oregon in the mid 1940s. They started a logging company and served as partners in several Central Oregon logging-related businesses. Mrs. Barclay owned Barclay Western Wear in Sisters. She was also part owner of the Art Merchant Gallery. She and her husband built Barclay Square and developed other properties in the Sisters area.

Mrs. Barclay was a foster parent. She was also a pilot and soloed a flight at age 60.

She enjoyed collecting Native American art and traveling in the Southwest.

Survivors include her two sons, Dennis of Albany and Stephen of Sisters; a daughter, Susan Busik of Bend; a sister, Verna Spaar of Olympia, Wash.; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a brother and three sisters.

Catherine Cecelia Roberts

April 29, 1910 – April 1, 2003

Catherine Cecelia Roberts of Bend died Tuesday of natural causes. She was 92.

No service will be held.

Mrs. Roberts was born April 29, 1910, in Anaconda, Mont., to John and Catherine (Mahalik) Krolic. She married Jack Roberts in 1966 in Reno, Nev.

She was affiliated with the Catholic church.

Mrs. Roberts lived in Oregon all of her adult life. She moved to Bend five and a half years ago.

Survivors include her two daughters, Marlene Slack of Bend and Carole Rostron of Cincinnati; and one grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband.
