Clifton Floyd Whisenhunt
Jan. 1, 1923 – June 8, 2003
Clifton Floyd Whisenhunt of Redmond died June 8 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was 80.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. today at The Barn, 1695 NE 91st St., in Redmond.
Mr. Whisenhunt was born Jan. 1, 1923, in Watson, Okla., to Frank and Jewel Whisenhunt. He married Lola McLoud on Sept. 21, 1943, in Stevenson, Wash.
He worked as a farmer, horse trainer and musician. He retired in 1989.
Mr. Whisenhunt was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association, Terrebonne Horse Club and the Fellowhip of Christian Cowboys. He was also affiliated with High Desert Praise and My Father’s House.
He enjoyed listening to country music and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also enjoyed roping.
Survivors include his wife of Redmond; two daughters, Bonnie Jones and Juanita Ryan, both of Redmond; a brother, Andy of Dayville; six sisters, Nellie Wright of Broken Bow, Okla., Lynn Oster of Albany, Gertie Morgan of Stayton, Bert Hancock of Salem, Mae Harris of Mill City and Thelma Stinnett of Mena, Ariz.; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, parents and a sister.

Joshua Kevin Burgess
June 11, 1978 – June 8, 2003
Joshua Kevin Burgess of LaHabra Heights, Calif., died June 8 in an airplane accident. He was 24.
A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Long Creek Cemetery in Long Creek.
Mr. Burgess was born June 11, 1978, in LaHabra Heights to Brian and Vicky (Volny) Burgess. He graduated from Cal-Poly in San Luis Obispo, Calif., with a degree in industrial engineering.
He worked as an instructor and pilot for Airline Transport Professionals in Florida. He was a former resident of Central Oregon.
Mr. Burgess was a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association.
His hobbies included snowmobiling, hunting, water polo and bungee jumping.
Survivors include his parents of LaHabra Heights; a sister, Melissa of Bend; and maternal grandfather, Nobert Volny of Bend.

Kathleen Lillian Werner
June 14, 1930 – June 14, 2003
Kathleen Lillian Werner of Sweet Home died June 14. She was 73.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Terrebonne Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Werner was born June 14, 1930, in Oregon City to Victor and Grace (Griffin) Hubbard. She grew up in Gladstone and married Oscar Baier on Nov. 23, 1945, in Vancouver, Wash. She later married Rienheart Werner on Dec. 2, 1978, in Portland.
She was a homemaker and also worked for the Willamette Lutheran Home in the kitchen and laundry for 13 years.
Mrs. Werner lived in Salem and Keizer for many years before settling in Terrebonne in 1977. She moved to Sweet Home in 1996 to be near her family.
She was affiliated with the Clear Lake Methodist Church and the Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Terrebonne Pioneer Ladies.
Mrs. Werner enjoyed cooking, singing and embroidery work.
Survivors include her son Rodney Baier of Salem; a daughter, Janet Sylvester of Sweet Home; two sisters, Zella Saunders of Portland and Carol Cippola of Gresham; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first and second husbands, a son and a daughter.
