Pauline (Ulrich) Wills
June 28, 1909 – July 31, 2003
Pauline Ulrich Wills of Redmond died July 31 of natural causes. She was 94.
A service was held.
Mrs. Wills was born June 28, 1909, in Kansas to Carl and Mary Ulrich. She married Leslie Wills on Nov. 13, 1931, in Portland.
Her hobbies included quilting and gardening.
Survivors include her daughter Nancy Eisendbrandt of Redmond; a brother, Bill Ulrich of Heppner; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a brother and two sisters.
Sweeney Mortuary in Heppner is in charge of arrangements.
Sandra Claire Sears
Nov. 30, 1951 – July 8, 2003
Sandra Claire Sears of Florence died Friday in an automobile accident. She was 51.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Aug. 14 at the Events Center in Florence.
Mrs. Sears was born Nov. 30, 1951, in Ontario, Canada to Bill and Pat Graham. She married Hayden Sears.
She lived in Bend for four years and worked at Central Oregon Community Hospital in Redmond. She moved to Florence and was a charge nurse at Peace Harbor Hospital.
Mrs. Sears enjoyed horses and dogs.
Survivors include her husband of Florence; her parents of Canada; and five sisters, Laura, Julie, Kate, Jen and Niki.

Francis Carl Dobson
Sept. 6, 1936 – Aug. 6, 2003
Francis Carl Dobson of Prineville died Wednesday of Lou Gehrig’s Disease. He was 66.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Aug. 12 at Prineville Nazarene Church followed by a graveside service at Juniper Haven Cemetery in Prineville.
Mr. Dobson was born Sept. 6, 1936, in Hartshorne, Okla., to Carl and Ruth (Curbow) Dobson. He attended schools in Crook County. He married Dominga Calvio on Oct. 30, 1976, in Reno, Nev.
He worked for Ochoco Lumber Company, Hudspeth Pine, Crook County and the Central Oregon Irrigation District. He retired in 1999.
He liked animals and enjoyed woodworking.
Survivors include his wife of Prineville; a son, James of New York; a daughter, Patty of Oregon; a sister, Wanda Cardin of Prineville; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

John A. Runge
May 19, 1922 – Aug. 6, 2003
John A. Runge of Durant, Okla., died Wednesday of an illness. He was 81.
A memorial service will be held in Durant, Okla.
Mr. Runge was born May 19, 1922, in Bend to John and Stella Runge. He graduated from Bend High School in 1940. He married Patsy in Durant, Okla.
He entered the military during World War II and completed a tour of duty as a B-24 Pilot in the Pacific. He served as a career pilot in the Air Force and retired as a colonel. He then worked as a commercial pilot in Oklahoma.
Mr. Runge was a member of the American Legion and Kiwanis in Durant. He enjoyed boating.
Survivors include his wife; daughter, Gina; and sister, Margaret Runge Smith.
Deloris A. Davis
Dec. 3, 1927 – Aug. 7, 2003
Deloris A. Davis of Tumalo died Thursday of natural causes. She was 75.
No service will be held.
Mrs. Davis was born Dec. 3, 1927, in Los Angeles to Theodore and VanNetta Michaels. She married Roy Davis on Oct. 11, 1942, in Mexico.
She was a homemaker. Mrs. Davis enjoyed painting and horse racing.
Survivors include her two sons, Mark of Santee, Calif., and Tim of Encinatas, Calif.; two daughters, Diane Finch of Phoenix and Sharon of Tumalo; ten grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, son and parents.
