Bulletin staff report
Jeld-Wen Inc. said Wednesday it had acquired Windowmaster Products of El Cajon, Calif. in January.
Windowmaster Products is a privately held company that manufactures vinyl and aluminum windows widely available in home center stores and from dealers throughout Southern California and the Southwestern United States.
”Windowmaster Products is known for excellent service and high-quality windows and patio doors,” Barry Homrighaus, Jeld-Wen window group president, said in a press release.
Jeld-Wen anticipates Windowmaster’s three vinyl window lines and two aluminum lines will complement Jeld-Wen’s brand promise of product and service reliability. Windowmaster Products was honored as Home Depot’s ”Partner of the Year” in 1996 and in 1999, the final year of the award.
Jeld-Wen said in the release it anticipates no changes to the employee count, employee responsibilities, or organizational structure.
Windowmaster Executive Vice President Ron Walker will continue to lead the company. The plant will continue to label its products under its existing brand name.
”We are extremely pleased to join the Jeld-Wen family, where we can continue our 65-year tradition of exceptional product quality and service to our customers,” Walker said in the statement. ”We look forward to many new opportunities.”
Jeld-Wen has more than 150 divisions and 20,000 employees in almost 20 countries worldwide.
The Klamath Falls-based private manufacturer of windows and doors also owns Pozzi Windows based in Bend.
