Dora Shearman Maddox of Bend died Saturday of natural causes. She was 64.

No services are planned.

Mrs. Maddox was born Sept. 11, 1939, in Dallas to Robert and Mabel (Colgrove) Shearman. She graduated from Redmond High School, attended Central Oregon Community College and then graduated from Portland State University.

She married Edward Maddox on March 21, 1959, in Redmond.

Mrs. Maddox was an avid reader and enjoyed cooking and knitting.

Survivors include her husband of Bend; a son, Robert of Bend; a brother, Robert Shearman of Lincoln, Neb.; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, her parents and a sister.
