Oregon Coast book about more than beaches

The Oregon coast is one of the state’s natural wonders.
All 360 miles of it.
”Moon Handbooks Coastal Oregon” covers the waterfront as it guides readers to the best beaches, activities and dining the Oregon coast has to offer.
Beaches are just the jumping off point. The guide, written by Elizabeth and Mark Morris, offers hikes, jet boat rides, whale watching, salmon fishing, crabbing and clam digging.
And there’s in-depth coverage of the history, geology, climate, flora and fauna of the region along with travel details, maps and information on the coast’s public lighthouses.
The book is broken down into an introductory chapter and chapters on traveling, the South Coast, Central Coast and North Coast.
The book comes in an easy-to-read format and contains numerous sidebars on points of interest.
Mark and Elizabeth Morris first became involved in travel writing while working as editors at Moon Publications, according to the publisher. Mark Morris wrote ”Odyssey Illustrated Guide to Ireland” and ”Moon Handbooks Atlantic Canada.” Together they wrote the first edition of ”Oregon Coast Best Places.”
Published by California-based Moon Handbooks, ”Coastal Oregon” is a 231-page softcover. It retails for $16.95.
