Robert ”Bob” L. Jones

Robert Bob’ L. Jones of Prineville died Friday of natural causes. He was 79.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 30, at Prineville Funeral Home.
Mr. Jones was born May 7, 1925, in Stayton, to Lalon and Julia ”Gladys” (Johnson) Jones. He graduated from Stayton High School. He married Eileen Freida Seeman in Stayton, on Sept. 24, 1949.
He served in the Army during World War II. Mr. Jones worked as a welder and in sawmills throughout his life.
Survivors include his wife of Prineville; a son, Lee of Bend; a daughter, Cyndy Williams of Prineville; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother.

Garold R. Black
Feb. 6, 1941 – Sept. 21, 2004
Garold R. Black of Tigard died Sept. 21 of cancer. He was 63.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 29, at Young’s Funeral Home in Tigard.
Mr. Black was born Feb. 6, 1941, in Bend to Robert Black and Lavelle Filey. He attended Portland State University. Mr. Black married Nancy Eckelman in 1962.
He was the vice president of finance for Digital Realm Designworks.
Survivors include a son, Mike; a daughter, Janelle Hill; two sisters, Geri Martinez and Cherly Reddon; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Oregon Cremation is in charge of arrangements.
Lonnie D. King
Nov. 18, 1948 – Sept. 25, 2004
Lonnie D. King of Bend died Saturday of cancer. He was 55.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 30, at Westside Church.
Mr. King was born Nov. 18, 1949, in Portland, to Alonzo and Helen King.
He married Cindy King, on Dec. 15, 1984, in Portland.
Mr. King served in the National Guard.
He worked as a sales manager. He was a member of Westside Church.
He enjoyed fishing, tennis and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include his wife of Bend; two sons, Nolan and Sam, both of Bend; two daughters, Grace and Molly, both of Bend; a brother, Rick of Gresham; a sister, Pam Hutcheson of Vancouver, Wash.; and his mother, Helen King of Portland.
