Children ages 7-14 can learn Western-style horseback riding, as the Central Oregon Park and Recreation District offers beginning and intermediate lessons starting Oct. 9 and running through Oct. 30.
The Saturday lessons will run from 1-2:30 p.m. at Diane’s Riding Place, 65535 Cline Falls Road in Bend.
The beginner’s class will introduce western-style riding in a safe, fun, friendly environment and is intended for children that have little or no experience with horses. The intermediate class takes participants to the next level in horse riding and care.
Cost is $95 for in-district residents and $100 otherwise. Horses and tack are provided.
