Bend’s only winery is putting together some attractive gift baskets featuring BAM Pottery by Beth Ann Maragas, sister of winemaker Doug Maragas. Each basket includes a bottle of one of the winery’s three offerings – Legal Zin, Pinot Riche or Kool Kat Muscat – and a variety of goodies ranging from Dani candles made in Bend to an apron featuring the artwork of Maragas’ mother. The pottery is functional and featured pieces include ice buckets and coasters. Gift baskets cost $70 to $75. If you’re on a tighter budget, consider a simple bottle of Maragas wine signed by the winemaker. The fledgling winery is starting to gain a little national attention with recent mentions in the New York Times and Frommer’s. The Legal Zin and Pinot Riche cost $12.50 a bottle. Kool Kat Muscat, which is in limited supply, costs $14 bottle.
