Julio Frank Montagner
June 24, 1928 – Nov. 28, 2004
Julio Frank Montagner of Redmond died Sunday of natural causes. He was 76.
No services are planned at this time.
Mr. Montagner was born June 24, 1928, in Portola, Calif., to Pietro and Julia (Pasquetti) Montagner. He graduated from Bret Hart High School in Angels Camp, Calif. He married Mary Jo Allen in 1954, in White Pines, Calif.
Mr. Montagner served in the Army during the Korean conflict. He worked as as a truck driver. He worked for Calavares Cement Company in the shipping department for over 40 years.
He was a member of the Elks Lodge, the Moose Lodge and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, trapping, gardening and traveling.
Survivors include his wife of Redmond; a daughter, Debbi Popish of Redmond; a brother, David of Sacramento, Calif.; and six grandchildren.

James W. Gallaway
April 24, 1944 – Nov. 27, 2004
James W. Gallaway of Sunriver died Saturday of natural causes. He was 60.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, at Holy Trinity Church, 18143 Cottonwood Dr., Sunriver.
Mr. Gallaway was born April 24, 1944, in Portland, to George and Carolyn (Smith) Gallaway. He married Susan Maude.
Mr. Gallaway served in the Army. He worked in hotel management for Holiday Inn. He enjoyed fishing and reading.
He is survived by his wife of Sunriver; his mother of Vancouver, Wash.; and a brother, John Gallaway of Bend.
Memorial contributions may be made to either the Hospice of Bend-La Pine or the American Cancer Society.

William Edmond Whitehouse
July 11, 1924 – Nov. 24, 2004
William Edmond Whitehouse of Redmond died Nov. 24 of natural causes. He was 80.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, at the Mt. View Mortuary and Cemetery, 570 E Highland Avenue, San Bernardino, Calif.
Mr. Whitehouse was born July 11, 1924, in Nightengale, British Columbia, to James and Ida (Merritt) Whitehouse. He received his bachelor’s of science degree from the University of Nevada in mining engineering. He married Beulah Whitehouse on Sept. 28, 1946, in San Luis Obispo, Calif.
Mr. Whitehouse served in the Army Air Core during World War II. He worked as a sales manager for an industrial refractory. He enjoyed fishing.
Survivors include a son, Jim of Redmond; a daughter, Marsha Hix of Sisters; a sister, Eulah Cunha; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife and a brother.
