Singer/songwriter David Bowers will perform at the Redmond Public Library in the December installment of Cafe Libri, a monthly event created to provide a place to meet and mingle and enjoy food and friends in a casual environment.Bowers employs dropped tunings and the syncopation of boot heels and knuckles slapped on his guitar to achieve the effect of a small band. He grew up in a railroad shack outside of Ellensburg, Wash., and has performed in groups in Montana and Eugene. The free, public event will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.
