Dorothy Dottie’ Wiens Darnell
Nov. 23, 1927 – Dec. 7, 2004
Dorothy ”Dottie” Wiens Darnell of Bend died Tuesday of complications from strokes and Alzheimers. She was 77.
Private services will be held.
Mrs. Darnell was born Nov. 23, 1927, in Munich, N.D., to Jacob and Helen (Lalillms) Wiens. She married George Darnell on April 14, 1949, in Las Vegas.
Mrs. Darnell was a homemaker. She was a member of the Germans from Russia and the Mennonite Genealogical Society. She enjoyed family history, traveling, crocheting and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Gerald of Bend; two daughters, Marie J. Winslow of Lexington, Ky. and Grace L. Dismon of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; a brother, Delbert Wiens of Boise, Idaho; 13 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Deschutes Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Hilda Mary Boyle
July 11, 1919 – Nov. 30, 2004
Hilda Mary Boyle of Rancho Mirage, Calif. died Nov. 30 of congestive heart failure. She was 85.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Jan. 21, in Rancho Mirage, Calif.
Mrs. Boyle was born July 11, 1919, in New Bedford, Mass. She married Tom Boyle on Jan. 17, 1988, in Orinda, Calif.
Mrs. Boyle worked as a personnel manager for Sears Roebuck and Co. until her retirement in 1985. She lived in Sunriver for more than eight years. She was a member of the Catholic Church and the Braille Institute in Rancho Mirage, Calif. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include a stepson, Terry of Las Vegas; two stepdaughters, Susan Boyle of Powell Butte and Sandra Sandoz of Alexandria, Va.; three grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a brother and a sister.

Linda Gertrude Hart
July 29, 1913 – Dec. 5, 2004
Linda Gertrude Hart of Seaside died Sunday of unknown causes. She was 91.
A burial service will be held at 1 p.m. today, Dec. 10, at Belcrest Memorial Park.
Mrs. Hart was born July 29, 1913, in Avon, S.D. She graduated from Salem High School in 1933. She married Raymond Hart on April 23, 1944.
Mrs. Hart worked as a seamstress. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi. She enjoyed knitting, gardening and spending time with family and friends. She lived in Redmond for many years before returning to Seaside.
Survivors include a daughter, Cheryl Weaver of Seaside; a stepdaughter, Sister Betty Hart of Pittsburgh, Pa.; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter and two brothers.

Walter Winitzky
April 9, 1922 – Dec. 7, 2004
Walter Winitzky of Prineville died Tuesday of cancer. He was 82.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, Dec. 13, at Prineville Funeral Home.
Mr. Winitzky was born April 9, 1922, in Goodrich, N.D., to Nathan and Otilia Winitzky. He attended the University of North Dakota and the University of Oregon Dental School in Portland. He married Elizabeth Winitzky in 1944.
Mr. Winitzky served in the Army during the Korean War. He worked as a dentist in Prineville for 51 years, until his retirement in 1997. He was a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry, a member of the American Dental Association, Founder Committee of Pioneer Memorial Hospital, a founding board member of Community First Bank, Boy Scouts of America, Crooked River Roundup Association, Masonic Lodge and the Prineville Elks Club. He enjoyed playing piano, dancing and performing in musicals.
Survivors include his wife of Prineville; four sons, Warren of Bend, Dana of Eugene, David of Santa Barbara and Steven of Salt Lake City; a sister, Esther Ames of Pasadena, Calif.; and seven grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made, in lieu of flowers, to Pioneer Memorial Hospital Hospice. Whispering Pines Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
