Scott O’Connor, M.D., has joined Bend Memorial Clinic’s Ophthalmology Department. Dr. O’Connor specializes in medical and surgical treatment of retina diseases. He earned his medical degree from Hahnemann University of Medicine in Philadelphia and completed his residency in Ophthalmology at the Cole Eye Institute, the Cleveland Clinic, Ohio. He is board-certified and has completed research in his field and has been published in medical journals. He most recently worked at the Charles Retina Institute in Memphis, Tenn., where he served a fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery.

The Central Oregon Recreation District (CORPD) announced the appointment of Phyllis Kosanke to the board of directors; Tom Pilling was elected board chairman; Blake Miller, vice chairman; and Shelli Blais as board secretary. COPRD are held on the second Thursday of each month and are open to the public.
