Robert and Marlene (Carrigan) Lunsford of Redmond celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

The couple were married Oct. 1, 1955, in Reno, Nev. Mr. Lunsford still has the two dollar bill that Marlene’s father jokingly gave him as a ”payoff” for marrying his daughter. They have three children, Rhonda (and Rick) Bergh of Talent, Randy (and Tonya) of Redmond and Connie (and Bud) Pugh of Medford; and four grandchildren.

Mr. Lunsford worked as the head welder for Pape CAT until he retired in 1996. Mrs. Lunsford works for St. Thomas Catholic Church.

They have lived in Central Oregon for 43 years.
