Donald William Snider of Crooked River Ranch died Friday. He was 74.

Private family services will be held in Redding, Calif.

Mr. Snider was born Oct. 16, 1931, in Eureka, Calif., to Donald and Inez (Robertson) Snider. He graduated from Eugene High School. He served in the U.S. Navy. He married Doris Moore on March 3, 1970, in Carson City, Nev.

Mr. Snider worked as a log truck driver until he retired in 1993. He enjoyed reading, fishing and animals.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Kenneth of Illinois; two stepdaughters, Karen Jeter of Sacramento, Calif., and Lorraine Howard of West Port, Wash.; a sister, Pat Jacobson of Pleasanton, Calif.; and three grandchildren.

Prineville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
